Singing, dancing, and bubbles! This drop-in program is for adults with babies through young children, limited to one adult per child. Grown-ups can bring all the children in their care. Just come into the children's library with your New City/West Nyack library card and pick up a ticket for that day's session. First come, first served, so please plan to come early since space is limited. Tickets will be given out 30 minutes before the session.

Imagination Station - New City Library

Preschoolers ages 3-5--it's time to visit the Imagination Station. Each week there will be a fun activity just for you! You might use your imaginations to play dress up, play some music, see a movie, make a craft, use puppets, or listen to some fun stories. 43rd Annual Holiday Exhibition: Cherished & Charming - Historical Society of Rockland County
Through February 24, 2019 - New City

Dollhouse and small-house collectibles are the focus of the 43rd Annual Holiday Exhibition at the Historical Society of Rockland County. Along with the traditional selection of dollhouses and miniatures, the display will feature: vintage collectible cottages, engravings, and paintings; folk art woodblock replicas of Rockland County historic homes and buildings by the Congers artist John Rossi; charming vintage holiday cards and ephemera; and rarely seen tiny objects from the HSRC's Permanent Collection. Also an ongoing tradition, the HSRC is delighted to announce its annual raffle. Raffle tickets will be available throughout the duration of the exhibition.

Maple Sugaring - Tenafly Nature Center

Learn how to identify a maple tree. Discover the history of syrup making and how technology has changed the way we gather sap over the centuries. The group will check Tenafly Nature Center's tapped tree and boil down sap to make fresh, warm maple syrup, a sweet treat for all to taste. All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Rain or shine. Dress warmly; the program will take place indoors and outdoors. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Children under 2 are free. No strollers, please.

Calling all nature-loving readers! StoryWalk® is an interactive outdoor exhibit that turns reading into an adventure along the trails without electronic devices. Hikers can read a nature-themed story while they walk in the woods. Designed for beginning readers, the stories will appeal to all ages. Tenafly Nature Center will post a new story, page by page, along a trail each season.

Young children, 1 ½ to 3 years old, with an adult will explore the natural world through a series of topics lead by a Tenafly Nature Center Environmental Educator. Each week has a different focus emphasizing working together through discovery stations, songs, and journeys outside. Eight week series on Wednesdays.

'Elemental Forces' Exhibit - Rockland Center for the Arts

Identifying renewable energy sources is an important issue facing humanity going forward. It is a task requiring the collaboration of scientists, entrepreneurs, businesses, governments and consumers. How can the artist play a role in advancing the emergence of renewable energy? How can artists help inspire dreams of what might be and work towards a better future? This public art exhibit invited artists to create sculptures using renewable energy utilizing solar, wind, and geothermal to the potential of alternative energy. These sculptures set in The Catherine Konner Sculpture Park harness a component of renewable energy.

Artists include: Professor Robert Dell, Jeff Kahn, James Murray, Aurora Robson, Peter & Cassie Strasser, and Chuck von Schmidt.

DreamWorks Trolls The Experience transports guests into the glittery world of DreamWorks Trolls through a visually-stunning, interactive journey to Poppy’s Best Day Ever Celebration.
