Bideawee's Love Your Pet Art Contest & Expo - Bideawee

Bideawee invites artists grades 1-12 to participate in the organization’s 7th annual “Love Your Pet Art Contest & Expo.” All are encouraged to use their artistic talent to express their love for animals. This year, Bideawee has created a new, online photography and video contest for High School students. Students grades 1-8 can submit artwork representing any medium (drawings, paintings, sculptures, etc.). All artwork must be mailed or dropped off at the Adoption Center at Bideawee located at 118 Old Country Road, Westhampton, NY 11977 from 9am-5pm daily, before February 1, 2015. Students grades 9-12 are invited to submit photography and video for Bideawee’s new online contest. Students can enter photos and video at www.bideawee.org/loveyourpet from January 2, 2015 – February 1, 2015. Photography and video specifications are listed on the website. The first 300 art entries from grades 1-8 will be displayed at Bideawee’s Art Expo for viewing by the public at select times from February 9th – 15th. Winners will be determined by public vote. A $5 donation will grant entrance into the show and help continue to care for the pets in need at Bideawee. The online photography and video entries from grades 9-12 will be displayed at www.bideawee.org/loveyourpet from February 9th – 15th. All are invited to visit the website to vote for your favorites. All winners will be announced on February 16th. Prizes will be awarded in groupings based on children’s grade year in school: 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 5th & 6th, 7th & 8th and 9th -12th. “Exploring the Centuries: 7th – 20th Century Asian Art” Exhibition - Hofstra University Museum, David Filderman Gallery

Now in its 23rd year, the Student Arts Festival celebrates the young artists of our region and salutes their devoted art instructors, school administrators, and families who nurture their creative pursuits. Each year, schools from Bridgehampton to Montauk participate in two inspiring student exhibitions. Toddler Time - Sky Zone Deer Park

Children ages 5 and under can jump and a parent/guardian may participate for free. For safety reasons at no point may an adult jump on the same trampoline as a child. During toddler time adults may sit/stand on the trampoline pads to accompany their children. This activities takes place Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays year-round.

Sky Zone Cares - Sky Zone Deer Park

Sky Zone Deer Park Indoor Trampoline Park will be opening on the first Monday of each month exclusively for jumpers with special needs. Sky Zone Deer Park team members have been trained and certified by Missing Piece Awareness to be autism aware and accepting and special modifications have been implemented by the management team. On this day for children and adults with special needs, Sky Zone dials down the music, increases the staff ratio, and limits capacity. The Sky Zone team understands the need to provide families affected by autism with a recurring session time where individuals can learn the rules and practice them in a safe and comfortable environment so they can eventually generalize these skills and be fully integrated at any time. Takes place the first Monday of the month through June 2015.
