Usdan Summer Camp For The Arts’ Open House - Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts

What does it look like when you combine the freedom of summer, the beauty of nature, the unbridled joy of kids creating without fear of failure, inspiration and mentorship from teachers who are themselves talented art-makers — oh yeah, and FUN? Join us at an upcoming Open House and learn just how special a summer at Usdan can be. During each event, the campus is yours to visit and explore. Refreshments, information, and 2019 registration will be available throughout the day. Families who sign up for the 2019 summer at an Open House will receive a chance to “spin to win” merchandise or a tuition discount. Rolling River Day Camp Prospective Family Day - Rolling River Day Camp

A unique opportunity for children to get a taste of camp while parents attend an interactive information session. Children ages 2-9 are treated to free camp activities including playground time, arts and crafts, gymnastics, Wii games or sports. Parents can focus on obtaining important camp information knowing their kids are supervised onsite by adult camp staff. All families who enroll for Camp 2019 that day will receive a free gift. You must pre-register to attend. Open House Days are 2/9, 3/2, 3/16, 4/13, and 5/4.

Spring Pysanka Workshops - Hallockville Museum Farm

Join instructor, Hannah Ritter, for the Spring Pysanka workshops, April 7th and May 5th! The Spring workshops will feature floral designs based on traditional motifs. Beginners will complete a Pysanka in approximately 2 1/2 hours. Several designs and color variations will be presented, and dye color choices will be available. Sessions will be suitable for both beginners and experienced eggers, and students can attend both sessions.

SAT & ACT Practice Exams - Sylvan of Huntington

Sylvan of Huntington will now be offering SAT and ACT Practice Tests every Saturday. If your child will be preparing to take their SAT or ACT exams this winter or spring, then what better way to start the process then by mapping out their strengths and weaknesses. Practice exams will run on Saturdays from 9:30-12:30 pm. Afterwards, families will be invited back to sit down with a director and get a detailed report which will analyze exactly how their child did and where they can improve. Sylvan offers prep programs year round for both the SAT and ACT and interested students can sign up for courses to help get ready for the big day.

This magical exhibit features sumptuous illustrations by the noted British artist George H. Lewis and quotes drawn from the forthcoming book, The Boy and the Boy King, co-created by George Lewis and A.D. Lubow.
