Get to the farm before it opens to the public for this hands-on farming experience! At Morning Farm Chores, children ages 8 and older, along with their grown-ups, get to learn the morning routine at Muscoot and help feed cows, collect hen eggs, and more. The program lasts about an hour and a half. Step right up, there’s a chore for everyone! You will get a chance to work up close and personal with animals like chickens, cows, sheep, pygmy goats, and more. Pre-registration required.

Registration is now open for the 11th Annual Runyon 5K. The Runyon 5K route starts at Gate 4 and winds through the ballpark's concourses and ramps, and up the stairs between levels. Participants have the opportunity to take two laps around the warning track that circles the field, appear on the centerfield video board, and meet scientists funded by Damon Runyon. The 2019 Runyon 5K is presented by MetLife Foundation. 100% of donations raised by Runyon 5K participants will directly support bold and innovative young scientists pursuing new approaches to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of all forms of cancer.

Rhyme and Read - Westchester Children's Museum

It's never too early to start learning how to read! Join the Westchester Children's Museum to learn a new nursery rhyme that focuses on a new letter and sound. Learn the words through singing, watching, and pointing! Don't forget to stay and sing the special reward song, receive a sticker of completion, and create a special craft! Children are encouraged to take their booklets home with them to keep practicing the rhyme. This program is for children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old, and must adhere to a minimum of 36 months for the program. 'Newsies' - Westchester Broadway Theatre

The Museum is partnering with Melissa & Doug Toys and Scattered Books of Chappaqua, NY, to offer a colorful, vibrant, enriching selection of toys and books for infants through middle school-aged children. All the books and toys will reflect the Museum’s own goals of encouraging play and imagination, critical thinking, problem solving, and fun. 

A portion of the proceeds from sales from the shop will support the Museum’s educational programs and exhibits. The shop will feature a range of books curated by Scattered Books, from touch books for our youngest children to chapter books for middle school readers. The toys selection offered exclusively by Melissa & Doug will range from child-scaled grocery stores to the puzzles, toys, and imagination-building playsets that the company is known for. 

The Pop Up Shop is a pre-cursor to a permanent gift shop planned for the expansion of the Westchester Children’s Museum, with construction set to begin in early 2019.
