Dr. Davin’s primary focus is helping people who are going through difficult life transitions, including separation and divorce. Through active couples’s counseling, she guides her clients through the necessary steps to either save their relationship or bring it to a healthy end. “If people find that they can no longer salvage what they had, I help them continue in different directions while leaving on amicable terms,” she says.

Dr. Davin helps partners through a healthy divorce by looking at the couple as a whole and assessing what they collectively need, she says. She also helps them work out important matters such as visitation rights and financial issues before anything is finalized.

Dr. Davin deals with patients’ issues at the core. Instead of focusing on an individual’s struggle with obesity, she addresses the emotional reasons behind his or her eating habits. “I take a direct, solution-focused, collaborative approach to therapy. I help provide the skills, strategies, and tools, as well as help people connect the dots, which creates greater clarity and insight during life’s often difficult and challenging times,” Davin says.

Although she no longer works with children, she draws from nine years of experience to offer parenting strategies and advice.
