Empire State Fair to Make First-Ever Appearance on Long Island

Empire State Fair will make its first-ever appearance on Long Island when it comes to the Coliseum in Uniondale for 11 days from July 20-30.

Empire State Fair will have rides for all ages, food, games, free entertainment, a comic ventriloquist, a master hypnotist, and racing pigs. There will be plenty of fair food classics, such as cotton candy and corndogs, as well as a variety of cuisines.

Families and young children will be able to enjoy Kiddie-Land’s 25 rides, including a classic double merry-go-round and a teacup ride. This family-friendly space will also have food catered to children.

This July Empire State Fair’s visitors will also be able to ride on the largest traveling Ferris wheel, arriving on Long Island from Holland, and fly in the original Batcopter of TV show fame. A petting zoo, exhibits, and daily shows will be included with fair admission.

“Empire State Fair is incredible, affordable family fun,” says Michele Tartaglione, managing director. “Enjoy summer fun at the fair’s midway, not on the expressway. We’re so excited to be sharing all these new attractions with everyone in Nassau and Suffolk [counties].”

Tickets are currently available at the box office of NYCB Live, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum presented by New York Community Bank. The Coliseum underwent major renovations and reopened to the public in April.
