The First Stroller Made of Recycled Materials is Now Available in the US

The  first stroller made entirely of recycled materials in the US will be available for purchase this month, according to a press release. Safety 1st, the creator of this stroller, is the brand leader in child safety and this recycled stroller will be sold exclusively at Walmart.

The Travel System stroller by RIVA is made from a combination of recycled materials including a recycled Safety 1st car seat. The Travel System stroller is manufactured and created with both American and imported parts.

All Riva Travel System components are made at the RIVA zero-waste facility and made from 85% recycled plastic as part of the car seat return program.

All available options of the RIVA Travel System are lightweight, including The Travel System Stroller. The inside fabrics of the stroller are easily removable and machine washable. The stroller will also include functional features such as a storage basket, a canopy with a “peek-a-boo window,” and two innovative parent cup holders that double as cell phone holders.

The one-hand lift-to-fold closure is compact, auto-locks, and stands on it own making it easy to travel with and to store in your home. The removable child tray is complete with snack/cup holders, a multi-position SPF 50+ sun canopy, and easy to use brakes.

Other sustainable options a part of The RIVA Travel System include the onBoard 35 FLX Infant Car Seat for babies 4 to 35 pounds and the Travel System FLEX. The Travel System FLEX is a versatile parent-facing and forward-facing carriage.
