Creepy, Crawly Critters

Get ready for summer fun by learning about creepy, crawly critters. Children will enjoy an up-close observation of a Madagascar hissing cockroach, crickets, and a tarantula as they compare insect and arachnid characteristics. Each child will receive a colorful science book about insects to enjoy at home. Limited to 6 parent/child pairs. ONE adult per child. Masks must be worn by all adults and children for the entire program. Ages 3-5 (with ONE adult)

Tribeca Festival Borough to Borough Screening Series: James and the Giant Peach FREE

Inspired by Roald Dahl's beloved children's book, a young boy named James gains possession of some magic crocodile tongues after the daring rescue of a spider from his cruel aunts. When he accidentally spills them in the garden, out sprouts an enormous peach. Inside he finds a group of human-sized bugs who help him escape his bleak home life and confront his sorrowful past in the midst of a magical odyssey.

Bring your own blankets or chairs to relax in socially distanced pods! Screenings will be held in the open field behind the Astoria Park Parking Lot. Line will form parallel to Shore Blvd. Parking is available at the Astoria Park Parking Lot.

SKATEROBICS 'Everything Roller Skating': Sunday Funday FREE

WHERE: St. Albans Memorial Park, Merrick Blvd., St. Albans, NY

WHAT:

Sunday Funday is a free roller skating event for the families and their children. Come skate, dance, exercise and have fun.  Participants can skate, dance or just listen to the music. All ages welcome. Must have own skates and wear a mask.
