Winter is upon us and The Floral Escape is ready to spread some holiday cheer! The Winter Escape is all your holiday and winter favorites bundled up into a multi-sensory floral experience like none you have ever visited before. While Santa’s workshop might be in the North Pole, this season he is headquartered right here in Floral Park and his little elves have dreamt up the most magical floral experience you ever did see! Take a stroll through our Gingerbread Village, stop by and smell our Candy Cane Rose Garden or snap an ‘elfie with Santa in his Jolly ‘olly, throne chair. Smile, sparkle & shine to make it a December to remember with endless blooming, photo-ops bound to have you feeling merry & bright!

ONLINE Virtual Family Workshop: Let's Get to Bubble Printing! FREE

The Queens Museum invites families to take part in their weekly virtual Drop-in Family Art Workshops. These fun, educational workshops offer families the opportunity to reflect on artworks that are on display at the Museum and to work collaboratively to create unique works of art. The activities are as wildly diverse as the Queens Museum’s dynamic permanent and changing exhibitions.

Family Art Workshops accommodate diverse learners and are accessible to families with children with special needs and English Language Learners.

ONLINE The Lioness Ensemble FREE

Lioness is a collective of female jazz instrumentalists living in New York City whose mission is to inspire and educate the community at large by sharing music created by women in jazz, both past and present. Through outreach in the schools and in community spaces for the general public as well as providing networking opportunities for female musicians, Lioness performs and conduct workshops focusing on the contributions of women in jazz. In this third and final concert in the Lioness: Women in Jazz Concert Series, the Lioness Ensemble will perform original compositions by members of the group, along with an online Q&A with baritone saxophonist Lauren Sevian, guitarist Amanda Monaco, and tenor saxophonist Jenny Hill.
