Olivia (pictured), the pig straight from author Ian Falconer’s imagination, and Holly Hobbie’s Toot and Puddle will thrill children and no doubt encourage more reading. Connecticut residents will feel a sense of pride when they visit the Discovery Museum for Gustave Whitehead: First in Flight Celebration. Whitehead’s first airplane flight has now been acknowledged by Governor Malloy as having taken place two years before the Wright Brothers’ flight at Kitty Hawk. Visitors to the event will enjoy local model airplane clubs, public presentations with guest speakers and celebrities, planetarium shows, pop-up vendors, and educational demonstrations. FREE!

Backed up by her band, she’ll perform her brand of catchy pop tunes in Westport this month. FREE!
