Every holiday season, the largest department stores in Manhattan unveil lavish holiday window displays. Here are some of the most extravagant and festive holiday windows the city has to offer, including holiday window displays at stores such as Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's, and Lord & Taylor.

Lord & Taylor

This year, Lord & Taylor unveiled its 80th annual holiday window in New York City to the theme “The Best and The Brightest.” The Fifth Avenue windows of Lord & Taylor's flagship store have been transformed into a whimsical display of enchanted snow globes. In one window titled “Holiday Circus,” a brightly colored, vintage-style circus is conducted by the master of ceremonies. In “Santa’s Magic,” a modern Santa looks into his globe. In addition to the Fifth Avenue display, Lord & Taylor partnered with Hallmark Channel to create a series of windows along 38th street featuring special animations that celebrate “Countdown to Christmas.” Lord & Taylor is located at 424 Fifth Ave. in Midtown.

Unveiling Event: On Nov. 9, Jessie James Decker joined Lord & Taylor in partnership with the Hallmark Channel and Madison Square Boys and Girls Club. Jessie performed some of her hit songs including “My Favorite Holiday” in front of the Lord & Taylor Fifth Avenue holiday windows.

The presentation, titled “To New York, With Love” will pay homage to the American Museum of Natural History, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the New York Botanical Garden, the Museum of the Moving Image, the New York Philharmonic, the New-York Historical Society, and Urban Glass. Each charity has designed custom products and experiences to be made exclusively available at Bergdorf Goodman. The holiday windows themselves are multilayered and compelling. Each one is completely unique from the other and seeks to embody the partner institution it represents. The New-York Historical Society’s holiday window is a kaleidoscope of colorful figures, while the Natural History Museum’s holiday window features a cast of sparkling bejeweled dinosaurs. Bergdorf Goodman is located at 754 Fifth Ave. in Midtown.
