This Year's Most Beautiful Holiday Windows in New York City

Every holiday season, the largest department stores in Manhattan unveil lavish holiday window displays. Viewing these department stores’ holiday windows has become essential to the New York City holiday experience, whether you celebrate HanukkahKwanzaa, or Christmas. Here are some of the most extravagant and festive holiday windows the city has to offer, including holiday window displays at stores such as Macy's, Bloomingdale'sTiffany's, Saks, and more.

Tiffany & Co. 

For holiday windows that really sparkle, check out Tiffany & Co.’s festive presentations at its flagship store in Midtown. Tiffany & Co.'s 2018 holiday windows theme is “The Holidays Made by Tiffany” which celebrates Gene Moore's displays from the '60s. Get ready for lots of Tiffany Blue, including a holiday hero robot, retro TVs, and the iconic Tiffany Blue Boxes. But it's not all blues this year: the display will also feature retro-inspired pops of color for a look that's equal parts vintage and modern–and 100% Tiffany.Tiffany & Co. is located at 727 Fifth Ave. in Midtown.

Tiffany & Co.'s 2019 holiday windows feature scenes of technological artistry mixed with holiday traditions we all know and love.


Bergdorf Goodman

The presentation, titled “Bergdorf Goodtimes,” channels holiday celebrations with a twist. The windows are meant to catch people off guard with their beautiful and incorporate neon, Italian mosaic tile, needlecraft, soft sculpture, and dazzling custom surfaces. Each window has an individual theme–"Winner Take All," "Wildcard," and "Queen's Gambit" among them. All concepts were conceived by David Hoey, Senior Director of Visual Presentation and longtime window dresser at Bergdorf's. Bergdorf Goodman is located at 754 Fifth Ave. in Midtown.

Macy's is always a destination for the holidays, whether you're in town for the Thanksgiving Day Parade or in line to meet Santa in Santaland. This year, the store's holiday windows represent the theme "Believe in the Wonder," which take viewers on a journey with a main "Santa Girl" character. Some windows feature glistening piles of presents, huge ornamental Santas, and one giant snoozing golden dog. You can't go wrong experiencing the magic of the holiday at Macy's. Macy’s is located at 151 W. 34th St. in Herald Square.

Macy's holiday windows in Midtown depict a number of holiday traditions acted out by quaint animal characters and Santa Claus.


Saks Fifth Avenue

Little ones will love this one: This year Saks is partnering with Frozen II to create some of the most whimsical holiday windows ever, reports Town & Country. The center six windows of the department store will depict Elsa's journey to power through all elements of nature, including wind, fire, water, and earth. Saks is offering kids a world of Frozen-themed fun, too: head inside for fun displays, exclusive merchandise, and more. Saks Fifth Avenue is located at 611 Fifth Ave., Midtown.

This year's Saks windows depict Elsa's rise to power through nature and feature cameos from Olaf, Kristoff, and Anna!



This year's Bloomingdales display is out of this world! No, literally–there are space-themed holiday windows, themed gift shops, exclusive merch, and more, and a performance by John Legend! Festivities began Nov. 22. While you're making your way through outer space (complete with plenty of iridescent displays and a catalog of Bloomies' favorite items of the season), make sure you visit Santa and his elves in the holiday shop. Bloomingdale’s is located at 1000 Third Ave., 59th Street and Lexington Avenue on the Upper East Side.
