The Jewish Community Center of Harrison Early Childhood Center began two new programs this fall for children ages 2-5 in Harrison, Purchase, Rye, and surrounding neighborhoods. The synagogue-based development center provides early childhood education and relationship building within the community. All programs at the childhood center are open to the public, with no membership of the JCCH necessary. The new programs, which enhance the JCC’s preschool, include a Sunday soccer program and Music on Wheels.

The JCCH Early Childhood Center’s preschool for kids ages 2-5 offers structured activities and unstructured playtime during morning programs and optional afternoon enrichment. The program is ongoing and enrollment is still available.

The JCCH Early Childhood Center partnered with Super Soccer Stars to begin a Sunday soccer program in the main gym at the JCCH. The program begins Oct. 19 and runs to Dec. 21. There are three classes offered Sundays from 9-11:20am for children ages 2 to young 4. Program enrollment is now available.

Music on Wheels is music program that introduces infants and toddlers, with their parent or caregiver present, to world music and global instruments. The program starts Oct. 24 and is offered every Friday at 9:30am.

“These programs offer parents a chance to meet, connect, and make first friends for both themselves and their children in a warm and nurturing environment,” says Nancy Isaacs, early childhood director. “There’s a renewed sense of spirit and energy at the JCC of Harrison. Come and catch it.”
