Kiddie Academy, which provides comprehensive education-based child care programs, is coming this spring to Williamsburg.
For more than 30 years, Kiddie Academy has provided educational child care to communities across the country, and soon it will serve the Brooklyn community.
Kiddie Academy, founded in 1981, began with the idea to combine learning with child care, and the goal to become a leader in the industry. Kiddie Academy has developed a comprehensive education-based child care program for its academies, which are structured to respond to the increasing demand for child care.
Kiddie Academy of Williamsburg will utilize a curriculum created to promote each child’s intellectual, social, physical, and emotional growth. According to Howard Chen, the owner of Kiddie Academy of Williamsburg, the programs emphasize continuous, open communication between teachers and parents concerning each child’s development.
Kiddie Academy strives to have days filled with learning, fun, and the key ingredients of its Life Essentials® curriculum and educational philosophy, according to Chen. The four tenants of the philosophy are “developmentally appropriate curriculum, technology education, health and fitness, and character education,” Chen says.
The Williamsburg location will also feature a Kindermusik program, providing weekly 30-minute lessons filled with music, stories, and activities designed for specific age groups.
“We serve children from birth to 12 years old in our afterschool program, but will be focusing on growing our programs for infants and children up to 4 years old,” Chen says.
Kiddie Academy utilizes Academy Link, which is a communication portal for parents and teachers. It can also provide parents with a State Standards comparison document, which shows the areas in which Kiddie Academy meets or exceeds local standards in its curriculum.
Registration is now open at the Kiddie Academy of Williamsburg and parents are welcome to schedule a tour.
