Letter from the Editor, Dawn Roode

Hi There,

I am the Editorial Director of NYMetroParents. I oversee all eight of our regional parenting magazines, as well as NYMetroParents.com and Special Parent. NYMetroParents covers parenthood, family activities, children’s health, and child development. Our content is resourceful and retainable. Because of this, it’s the perfect environment for clients looking to target a highly engaged reader.

PMA awardsI am so very proud of our edit and design teams for their dedication to providing excellent, valuable content to parents. Together we have won many awards from the Parenting Media Association. Winning awards in the Editorial, Design, and Digital categories demonstrates our continued commitment to producing high-quality media that serves both our readers and our clients. Among other things, NYMetroParents was recognized for its superb calendar section, which features a comprehensive selection of low-cost, family-friendly events in the New York City area. The best part about the calendar is that clients can easily upload their upcoming events!

On a personal note, I have recently been focused on making a big change: I’m moving to the ’burbs, Chatham, NJ. As fate would have it, my move corresponds with our new online Real Estate section (http://realestate.nymetroparents.com). This move will hopefully allow me to gain more insight into the lives of our suburban readers. I wish I had time to plan a welcome party and invite you all out, but alas, I’ve got Special Parent at the top of my to-do list : ).
