Liberty Science Center Welcomes Sid the Science Kid

Liberty Science Center Welcomes Sid the Science Kid

Does your child love the PBS TV series Sid the Science Kid? Or is your child a science lover? If so, you’re in luck. Liberty Science Center is unveiling a brand new exhibit, Sid the Science Kid: The Super-Duper Exhibit! on Feb. 6. The Center is located in Liberty State Park in New Jersey and is the home of 300,000 square feet of science filled fun for all ages.

Children ages 2-8 are invited to explore Sid’s scientific world and even get hands-on with play and activities all geared towards “STEM” – science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Learn about the five senses, the laws of motion, air power, friction, and more at the Center.

Some fun-filled and educational activities include:

  • Catapulting Sid’s toys into his toy box using a lever
  • Testing inertia using toys on a skateboard
  • “Baking” cookies and making patterns
  • Learning the properties of matter by determining which gadgets sink or float
  • Choosing and weighing healthy foods from the pantry
  • Identifying spices and utensils using their senses
  • Designing their own “Super-Duper-Ooper-Schmooper Big Idea!”

Interested in seeing the exhibit? It will run from Feb. 6 through May 15, and tickets are $21.75 for adults, $17.75 for kids ages 2-12, free for kids under 2, and $18.75 for seniors.
