LIC Dental Associates in Long Island City now has more staff, office renovations, and extended hours, all of which were added within the last year.
When LIC Dental Associates opened in October 2015, practice founder, Ishwinder Saran, D.M.D., was the only dentist. Now three additional dentists and an on-staff dental anesthesiologist have joined Dr. Saran, who practices general and cosmetic dentistry.
Hayley Bindner, D.M.D., is a general dentist who treats patients of all ages. Steven Bizzell, D.M.D., practices periodontics and implant dentistry. Michael Capozzi, D.D.S., provides pediatric dentistry, and Gordon Barnes, D.D.S., administers dental anesthesia.
The practice offers a variety of dental services including cleanings and checkups, cosmetic dentistry, pediatric dentistry, dental implants, root canal therapy, and emergency care. Light sedation and anesthesia is available for children’s dental procedures.
In the past year, LIC Dental Associates has added an additional three treatment rooms for a total of five. It has also purchased equipment to better serve its pediatric and adult clients. “We purchased a microscope to allow us to do very microscopic dentistry,” Dr. Saran says. “We also purchased two digital scanners to be able to do more precise restorations of teeth.”
The practice has separate waiting rooms for kids and adults. “The children’s waiting room is a superhero theme,” Dr. Saran says. It has toys, books, and tablets for kids to play with. Each child also gets to choose a toy from the treasure box and a cape and mask from their favorite superhero after their appointment.
LIC Dental Associates was originally open three days a week but within the last year has added three more business days to serve patients extended hours Monday-Saturday. Appointments can be scheduled online or over the phone.
