Long Island Game Farm Hosts Camel Naming Party

Long Island Game Farm Wildlife Park & Children’s Zoo will be hosting a Camel Naming Party on Saturday, August 6 to announce the name of its newest addition, according to a press release.

In advance of the event, the park held a camel naming contest on its Facebook page, which asked fans to submit possible names for the baby camel at the park. Staffers then selected their favorites from that long list of possibilities, and fans voted from the list of finalists. Some of the names include Emmy, Caramel, Sundae and Cleopatra (just to name a few).  There is even still time to cast a vote by clicking here. Voting ends on Friday, August 5.

The final, winning name will be announced during the Camel Naming Party, taking place at the Camel Encounter area of the park. Everyone who plans to visit the zoo that day is invited to attend the party at 11am, which will feature light snacks for children.

Other attractions at the Long Island Game Farm—located at 489 Chapman Boulevard in Manorville—include the Giraffe Encounter, Bambiland, pony ride, amusement rides and more.
