Catch the Long Island Nets’ First-Ever Sneaker Show at NYCB Live

The Long Island Nets will be hosting its first-ever Sneaker Show on Friday, March 2 with designs from Los Angeles-based artist Salvador Amezcua, also known as “Kickstradomis,” at NYCB LIVE during their game against the Windy City Bulls.

Amezcua will be in NYCB LIVE’s lower lobby performing a live design session from 4-6pm to create custom Long Island Nets sneakers. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view some of his most notable designs, which will be on display during the event.

“Hosting a sneaker show seems like a natural fit for our fans,” says Alton Byrd, vice president of business operations for the Long Island Nets. The confluence of basketball, sneakers, and lifestyle really makes sense for our team and NYCB LIVE.”

Amezcua’s company, Kickstradomis Customs, began as a passion for art and design and quickly grew into a business. The Los Angeles native has previously designed sneakers for NBA superstars such as James Harden of the Houston Rockets, Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers, and Karl Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Sneaker Show will also feature clothing and sneaker vendors, where attendees can purchase, sell, and/or trade shoes and collectibles. This portion begins at 4pm and will be open throughout the game.

“We hope to make this an annual event that we can turn into a major exhibition to complement the dynamic and exciting programming at our venue,” says Byrd.

To purchase tickets, visit the Long Island Nets website and use the code “SNEAKER” to receive a $20 ticket for both the Sneaker Show and the game.
