LuminoCity Festival of Holiday Lights is Coming to Manhasset Nov. 12

LuminoCity Festival of Holiday Lights is Coming to Manhasset Nov. 12

The holiday lights festival is returning for the 2021 season on Nov. 12 and will be on display through Jan. 9, 2022.

There is no shortage of holiday lights in the New York City area: LuminoCity Festival is coming to Whitney Pond Park in Manhasset this year. And after the last nearly 2 years, we’re all in need of a little extra magic to make the holiday season special for our families, something that LuminoCity, Bronx Zoo, NYC Winter Lantern Festival, and more appear to have figured out.

Inspired by the power of light overcoming darkness, this year’s theme is Shine Again. This fully immersive experience is full of towerling, lit-up sculptures, with Lumi, the festival’s mascot, as your guide. This year, it will feature an all-new exhibit called Lumi’s Utopia, featuring 3-D illuminated sculptures based on kids’ artwork. Plus, 12 famous social media animals will be turned into light sculptures in Lumi’s Friends. This year’s friends include @smushofficial, @pharrellandrosie, @turboroo, @navycorgi, @curiouszleda, @puppynamedcharles, @izzy_the_chow, @shishito_abycat, @coleandmarmalade, @the_kardoggians, @hobbikats, and @meetmayacat.
