The holiday season isn't complete without a trip to Macy’s Santaland and Holiday Lane.

UPDATE, Nov. 1 at 10:35am: Reservations will not be able to be made until Monday, Nov. 20 on the website, according to a spokesperson for Macy's. The hotline number provided is only for general information about Santaland, not reservations.

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why: Santa Claus is returning to Midtown.

Santaland will soon open for the holiday season on the eighth floor of Macy’s flagship store in Herald Square, according to a press release.

The day after Macy’s annual Thanksgiving Day Parade (Thursday, Nov. 24), your kids will have the opportunity to meet with Santa and take photos. This year, unlike other years, visits are by appointment only using the reservation system online to help minimize wait time. Pre-selected time slots can be reserved between 30 minutes and five days in advance of the visit.

Macy’s will be festively decorated with a Miracle on 34th Street holiday window display and kids will be able to take a ride on the Santaland Express train that circles North Pole villages. Other attractions include the Domino Bake Shoppe with freshly baked gingerbread cookies and mini cupcakes; The Enchanted Forest decorated with Christmas trees, holly, and poinsettias; Rainbow Bridge; Lionel Trains Industrial City, a display of six sets of trains and track; Santa’s Workshop; and finally, Town Hall, where Santa’s sleigh will be stored. All kids will receive a small keepsake from Saint Nick himself.

Holiday Lane, located on the ninth floor of Macy's in Herald Square, is now open with holiday decorations available for purchase. New additions this year are toys from FAO Schwarz and Thanksgiving Day Parade merchandise.

Macy’s Santaland will be open daily through Christmas Eve on Sunday, Dec. 24 and is free and open to the public. For reservations to meet Santa, call Macy’s Holiday Hotline at 212-494-4495 or visit macys.com/santaland beginning on Oct. 30 to reserve a time. There is a limit of one appointment per customer.
