MAD Donut Shop and Mrs. Claus Storytimes Now Open at The Westchester

MAD Donut Shop and Mrs. Claus Storytimes Now Open at The Westchester

Visit the mall for new treats beginning Nov. 23 and special story times for kids beginning Dec. 3.

The White Plains-based doughnut shop MAD Donuts will open in The Westchester on Nov. 23. The doughnuts are fresh, handmade, and come in a variety of flavors that range from classics like glazed and chocolate to unique flavors like lemon meringue and brown sugar custard. The mall’s shop will offer a rotating menu of six doughnuts. On opening day, you can pick from glazed, chocolate, and apple fritter (the customer favorite) on the #Basic menu, and then from the first seasonal flavors, which include cranberry iced, pumpkin pie, and caramel apple iced doughnuts.

“I am extremely excited about opening this location at The Westchester,” Matthew Moore, the owner of MAD Donuts, said. “Having the first storefront in this location is a big step in achieving our vision of providing Westchester residents better and more local options.”

If you need something to complement your doughnuts, you can also get fresh coffee from Coffee Labs and hot apple cider from local apple orchards–and don’t forget the complimentary WiFi!

When you finish your doughnuts, you can take the kids over to a storytime with Mrs. Claus, the first of which will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3. Mrs. Claus will read kids a classic holiday tale before Santa arrives for photos and wishes. If you can’t make the Dec. 2 storytime, Mrs. Claus will be at the mall every Tuesday in December from 9-10am up until Christmas Eve. You can find her at the Santa Set at the Westchester’s center court.

For more information on MAD Donuts and Mrs. Claus readings–or Santa photo opportunities throughout the season–visit The Westchester’s website.
