Mania Training Facility Adds Part Owners

Gina and Michael Tedesco have joined John J. Gould, Jr. to become part owners in Mania Training Facility. Together, along with the Mania staff, they will help see late-owner Lauren Bunyan-Gould’s dream live on.

Mania Training Facility
in Stony Point is home to the Cheermania All-Stars, a competitive cheer team that competes on a national level. It also has an intro to cheer program, Mania LITE, which involves cheer classes that work on fundamentals, involving team learning and short routines in a noncompetitive atmosphere.

A preschool tumbling program started last fall, including mommy-and-me classes for children ages 1-3, as well as classes for 3- to 4-year-olds (“Mania mites”) and 4- to 5-year-olds (“Mania starlets”). In the program, children will learn basic tumbling skills such as handstands, forward rolls, and body control.

The staff at Mania Training Facility focuses on the mental and physical well-being of its athletes and offers classes with different levels of commitment for boys and girls, as well as private lessons.

“If you just want to build your tumbling skills and take classes every now and then, we have a program for you. If you want to cheer, but not travel and compete, we have a program for you. If you want to cheer and travel and compete we have a program for you. And If you are completely obsessed and want it to be your life—we have a program for you,” says Gina Tedesco, part owner of Mania Training Facility.

The 6,000-square-foot facility has two training areas with equipment and room for parents to watch their children. Birthday party packages are available.

"We [Mania staff] are just continuing Lauren's vision, and we just keep moving forward," Gina says. "The kids really drive us too, they are really resilient and want to honor Lauren too," she adds.
