New Facility Provides Day Care for East Flatbush Children

Pinocchio Children’s Palace now provides child care for the East Flatbush neighborhood in Brooklyn. The new center’s curriculum, taught by teachers with master’s degrees in early childhood education, will help children develop their social, academic, and language skills.

Pinocchio Children's Palace Child Care Center in East FlatbushPinocchio Children’s Palace opened last November and provides East Flatbush with child care for ages 6 weeks though 6 years. Owner Tatiana Ilyaich thinks the licensed day care is necessary for the neighborhood. Their year-round program offers a curriculum for kids to learn how to read and write so they are ready for school.

“It is very, very necessary to have this kind of school so kids can get a good education on a good level,” Ilyaich says.

All of the teachers at the day care have a master’s degree in early childhood education, and teacher assistants have a bachelor’s degree. Ilyaich hopes children develop their social, academic, and language skills through their time at Pinocchio Children’s Palace.

Pinocchio Children’s Palace is a brand new facility with ample space for fun and learning. Ilyaich bought the furnishings for the day care new and ensures the cleanliness of her facility.

There are 10 classrooms with room for 200 children. Ilyaich serves each child breakfast, a hot lunch, and a snack. Currently the day care has seven children.

The day care is open Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm, but closed on major holidays. The facility is equipped with an alarm system and video surveillance.
