Pollo Campero Celebrates National Empanada Day with Free Empanadas

Love empanadas? Then you’ll want to mark your calendar because Friday, April 8th is National Empanada Day (who knew?!) and Pollo Campero, the world’s largest Latin chicken restaurant brand, is celebrating by treating guests to free empanadas, according to a company release.

Pollo Campero opened its first location in El Salvador in 1971, eventually coming to the U.S. in 2002. Today, there are more than 55 U.S. locations across the US, and more than 300 restaurants around the world from Costa Rica to Bahrain. And while it might be a chain, everything—from the chicken to the authentic Latin side dishes— is made fresh and on the premises.

No exception is its world-famous empanadas, made by hand every day and stuffed with Campero’s original Latin chicken. Available in three popular recipes—Latin Buffalo, Peruvian Verde and Guava Barbecue—customers who visit a participating Pollo Campero restaurant on April 8th will receive one free empanada (no purchase necessary).

Luckily, there are several locations in our area, including the Brentwood, Sunset and Grand Concourse areas in NYC, Corona and Jamaica in Queens, and Hempstead, Huntington Station, Glen Cove, and Central Islip in Long Island. To find the one nearest you, visit campero.com/locations.
