The Rink at Rockefeller Center Opens Oct. 12

The 2019-2020 ice skating season at Rockefeller Center begins this Saturday.

It's hard to believe that time of year is around the corner again! The world's most famous ice skating rink, The Rink at Rockefeller Center, opens for the 83rd winter season on Saturday, Oct. 12. The opening of the rink marks the beginning of winter festivities and celebrations around NYC, so get out your ice skates, pull your scarves and gloves out of the attic, and prepare your family for the most wonderful time of the year!

General admission for the rink is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The rink is open to the public  Oct. 10- April, 8:30am-12am, daily. Advance reservations are not available for general admission, but if you don't want to wait on line, reservations to skate through the VIP Igloo are available for an premier skating experience! The VIP Igloo offers a reserved skating time with no waiting on line, complimentary skate rentals and skate concierges to help, in and out access to The Rink for the session, and refreshments including hot chocolate, coffee, water, and cookies. Rates for The VIP Igloo range from $60-$175.

For enhanced holiday fun, Breakfast with Santa is offered at the Sea Grill and the Rock Center Cafe from Nov. 29-Dec. 24.  Highlights of these experiences include family-style breakfast, views of the ice skating rink, a visit from Santa and his elves, holiday gifts for children, a candy bar experience, and carolers.
