Six Flags Great Adventure will transform into a winter wonderland for Holiday in the Park on weekends and select days Nov. 18-Jan. 1, 2018.

The third annual Holiday in the Park will feature a number of new attractions and special events at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. There will be 13 immersive sections throughout the park where visitors can experience coordinated sights, sounds, and even scents in line with the holiday theme.

“Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Great Adventure not only delivers thrills, but world-class entertainment for all ages,” said Park President Neal Thurman in a press release. “This one-of-a-kind festival allows families to get away from the hustle and bustle of the season and create new traditions to enjoy for years to come.”

New offerings for the 2017 Holiday in the Park include:

  • Spirit of the Season: A Holiday Celebration: An all-new song and dance show about the holiday season, with contemporary holiday hits and fun twists on the classics.
  • North Pole Research and Development: Take a trip with Mrs. Claus in this all-ages show to investigate the newest goodies of the year at the North Pole Research and Development Lab.
  • Holiday Heroes: A newly-themed area with red, white, and blue glowing lights, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis, and two new food locations with fare for the family (plus beer and wine for parents).
  • Yuletide Brews: A holiday-themed bar in the Merry Market Place where older guests can enjoy seasonal beer and warm up with spiked hot chocolate.
  • Arctic Orbs: Ground-level glowing balls light the path from SkyScreamer to The Joker—and serve as a great photo opp with the fam.
  • Expanded ride package: In addition to nearly 30 rides, guests can now take a spin on the all-new interactive family thrill ride, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis. Just mind the forecast as rides are weather permitting, and note that Frontier Adventures do not operate during Holiday in the Park.

Returning signature attractions for the 2017 Holiday in the Park include:

  • Holiday Magic: A Celebration of the Season: Take in a spectacular light show nightly every 30 minutes on a 52-foot-tall tree in the heart of the park. Expect eye-popping effects, stirring music, and gently falling snow.
  • North Pole: No visit to the North Pole would be complete without a meet-and-greet with Santa. Guests can take holiday photos, meet a talking reindeer, and pen a letter to Old Saint Nick.
  • Gingerbread Junction: Meet a giant, inflatable gingerbread man, Dot & Drop Gingerbread, and the regal Peppermint Princess in this playful section of the park featuring peppermint swirl-wrapped trees and dancing lights.
  • Joy to the World: Take in a tranquil pathway of warmly lit trees, luminaries, and stained glass showcasing religious holidays from around the world.
  • Polar Point: Meet the Snow Queen and be mesmerized by ice-blue trees twinkling with the illusion of falling snow.
  • Poinsettia Peak: Say hello to the Poinsetta Princess and witness Skull Mountain roller coaster's transformation into a mountain of dazzling red lights.

Holiday in the Park Special Events:

Santa Run 5K, Elf Run 1K and festivities Nov. 19: Take off on a 3-mile run at 11am or cheer the kids on in the Elf Run, which includes a meet-and-greet with Santa at 12pm. Have fun in the park and then watch the Holiday Express band perform at 4pm.
