Soccer Friends now offers three new programs for children in Forest Hills: an afternoon soccer club, school break day camps, and child care for a monthly parents’ night out.

Forest Hills children have a new option for soccer fun. Soccer Friends USA, which opened its second location in August, now offers three new programs for children who want to learn soccer—and parents who are looking for a little child care help: Soccer Friends Afternoons Club, school break day camps, and parents’ night out.

Each afternoon of the Soccer Friends Afternoons Club, for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, is broken up into five periods including pick-up or drop-off, snack time, soccer skills, homework time, soccer fitness, stretching, games, soccer gymnastics to work on coordination and balance, and free play. Parents can enroll their child two, three, four, or five days a week, and Soccer Friends USA offers free pick-up service for children who attend P.S. 101 or Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School. Registration for the spring session, which runs January through June, is currently open.

Soccer Friends recently hosted its first two school break day camps for children in pre-K through fifth grade on Nov. 5 and Veterans Day. “It’s inconvenient for parents whose kids have the day off from school and both parents work,” says owner Sean Peckett. “So we’re here if they need us.” And parents who are looking for child care on date night can take advantage of Soccer Friends USA’s parents’ night out. One Friday per month, from 6-9:15pm, children will have dinner, watch a movie, and play board games.
