We know riding horses can be an expensive hobby, and owning your own horse is likely out of the question—especially if it’s not something your child wants to pursue in any professional or competitive capacity. So if your child shows an interest in horseback riding, it might be worth considering enrolling your little equestrian in a summer camp that offers horseback riding—and there are a handful of camps that offer horseback riding programs and lessons on Long Island. We’ve compiled a list summer day camps and summer programs that offer horseback riding for campers in Nassau and Suffolk counties, including summer camps in Old Westbury, Melville, Brookville, Middle Island, Medford, and St. James.
