The Winter Village at Bryant Park Extends Season

The Winter Village at Bryant Park Extends Season

The Winter Village at Bryant Park is home to NYC's only free admission ice skating rink and a variety of outdoor holiday shops.

Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park, home to holiday shops, an ice rink, the Lodge Deck, and so much more winter fun for the whole family, will remain open through March this year. This NYC holiday favorite is home to the city's only free admission ice skating rink and a variety of options for holiday shopping. This year, the Winter Village has implemented a variety of safety precautions and COVID-19 regulations to keep your family safe, as well as spotlight four NYC minority-owned small businesses.

Safety precautions at this year's Winter Village include required face coverings and increased sanitizing and cleaning on high-touch areas. The Rink is a completely outdoor experience this year and reservations and skate rentals must be made in advance online. There are fewer skaters on the ice at a time to decrease the overall capacity. Reservations and rentals are available on the website through March. 7.

Holiday Shops at Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park offer an open-air market with artisans from NYC and all over the world. The shops will remain open through March 28  and feature fewer kiosks with a reconfigured layout to allow for more spacious walkways and no congestion. Staff will wear face coverings, hand sanitizer will be made available, and contactless payments will be conducted. As part of the Winter Village's Small Business Spotlight presented by the Bank of America, four NYC minority-owned small businesses with annual revenue of $1 million or less will have the opportunity to showcase their products in a rent-free booth, as part of the Holiday Shops. Feb. 16-19 will be Bryant Park Winter Village's annual Kids Week.

Something completely new to the Bryant Park Winter Village this year is ICELESS curling. All ages are able to reserve a dedicated curling lane and bubble tent with food and drinks for 90 minutes. The packages allow for 1-4 or 5-8 guests on Wednesdays-Fridays, 3:30-9pm or Saturdays and Sundays, 1:30-9pm. A package, which are as follows, must be purchased to play:

Family curling packages:

  • $250 for 1-4 people. $475 for 5-8 people
  • Carafe of hot chocolate
  • Chicken fingers with fries or fried mozzarella and zucchini combo with fries
  • Brownie pops

Adult packages:

  • $300 for 1-4 people or $575 for 5-8 people
  • Carafe of wine or bucket of beer
  • Beef sliders with fries or friend mozzarella and zucchini combo with fries
  • Brownie pops

All gaming equipment and tents are sanitized by the park’s dedicated team between each booking. All customers must wear a face-covering when not seated inside your designated tent (this includes wearing a face-covering while playing). Curling lanes and accompanying tents cannot accommodate parties larger than 8 people and will be available for reservation through Jan. 31.

The Lodge looks a little different this year too, and is an outdoor, aprés skate-escape offering visitors cocktails, food, and a cozy place to watch ice skaters. The Lodge will be open through March 7.

The Winter Village will be open Monday-Friday, 11am-8pm and Saturday and Sunday, 10am-8pm. Many shops will stay open on holidays and have later hours after Thanksgiving. You can find a directory of businesses participating in this year's Holiday Shops here. Check back here for updates about entering your small business in the Small Business Spotlight as well as information regarding other upcoming programming as they become available.
