The fight for American women to get the right to vote was fought on many fronts - including Orangetown. The beloved television series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood comes to life at Liberty Science Center this January!  Follow along with Daniel in this “Grr-ific Exhibit” and immerse yourself in his many adventures. Children can play instruments at the Music Shop, sort, deliver, and receive packages and letters at the Post Office, create stories at the Movable Character Mural, and even write or draw a thank-you note at the "Thank You Tree." Wonder Girls, an after-school program for high school girls with a mission to build confidence, leadership, community and business skills hosts their monthly Volunteer Day to help clean up Rockland County. in honor of Earth Day and in partnership with KEEP ROCKLAND BEAUTIFUL, a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental initiatives. Wonder Girl volunteers will be cleaning up an area in Rockland County that is often littered with garbage. Representatives from Keep Rockland Beautiful will be on hand to discuss the importance of keeping communities clean for our own well-being and the overall mission of the organization.  The Wonder Girls will also network with other girls, gain hands-on experience and learn about the importance of social responsibility and the various careers in the non-profit sector, a key component of the Wonder Girls program.
