Ume Ume Music + Arts of Park Slope Offers New ‘Jump Start’ Preschool Alternative Program

Ume Ume Music + Arts of Park Slope has already begun accepting students for this new ‘Jump Start’ program, but will also offer rolling admission throughout the year. Ume Ume offers one, two, and three day options from 9am-11am, and feature a completely original curriculum made specifically for children ages 2-4. Classes for the alternative preschool are available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

“In our program, children will learn about our world through music and the arts in a fun and academic setting, without the commitment that comes with enrolling in a full-time preschool,” says Christos Stavropoulos, CEO and co-founder of Ume Ume. “We offer flexible options, and focus entirely on preparing our students for the next step in their education.”

Christos co-founded Ume Ume with his sister Sotiria. Both founders have extensive backgrounds in music, from college degrees to live performances. “Sotiria has been an educator for the better half of a decade, and is also a highly trained musician, having performed around the world in various venues and concert halls,” says Christos. “My background in Psychology, as well as in music, allowed us to create a unique and original program that blends together all aspects of child development.”

In addition to the preschool alternative program, Ume Ume also offers birthday parties, private lessons, drop in classes, Zumba classes, and much more. Any parents interested in programs or classes offered at Ume Ume can register by filling out this form.

Ume Ume Music + Arts of Park Slope is located at 319 4th Ave. For more information, or to register for the preschool program specifically, you can call 718-768-0800 or email [email protected].
