As part of its ongoing semester programs, Central Park Taekwondo now offers weekly memberships for kids, teens, and adults. With programs ranging from mommy and me classes though adult and family courses, each class works to instill taekwondo traditions while working to improve self-confidence and community respect.

With more than 300 students enrolled at Central Park Taekwondo, the program is broken up into two 20-week semesters and a summer program—the fall semester runs September to January, the spring runs January to June, and the summer program runs June to September. Gold member students can attend classes as often as they like over the course of the semester, while silver members have the option of attending once a week, Monday-Saturday. Central Park Taekwondo also offers family discount: any family members enrolled after the first three registrations are free.

“We have a facility that is very family oriented,” says owner Teresa Throckmorton. “We have the space for them to be comfortable. It’s very Zen and warm with an amazing group of instructors.” Presently, there are two rooms for classes to run simultaneously, with a plan for a 700 square foot addition within the coming months.
