Children of the Sound swim school moved from the Courtyard Marriott in Rye to the Carver Center in Port Chester in early January. The new location features a 25-yard four-lane pool and full locker rooms for men and woman, as well as a family changing area.

The staff at Children of the Sound is always thinking about what is best for its developing swimmers, which is why they are very excited for the school’s change in location. “This is great for us,” says Illeana Gonzalez, director of Children of the Sound Port Chester. “We feel that the bigger pool and location will be more beneficial to some of our older students.”

Children of the Sound has been offering private and semi-private swim lessons to children in Westchester for seven years and aims to create confident, safe, and capable swimmers. With highly trained instructors and classes customized to the individual students, Children of the Sound creates confident, safe, and capable swimmers who are confident, safe, and capable children out of the pool. “We have seen children grow and succeed, bringing skills they have learned in the pool to other areas of their lives,” Gonzalez says.
