Professional Bull Riders Return to Long Island This Fall

The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) will bring its Built Ford Tough Series back to Long Island.

On September 23 and 24, NYCB LIVE, home of The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, will host Buck Off the Island, presented by Cooper Tires.

This return to Long Island will be the first time PBR will appear at the Coliseum in 12 years, according to a press release.

“With its tough-as-nails cowboys squaring off against fearsome bulls 10 times their size in epic 8-second bursts of mayhem all night long, the PBR is one of the fastest-growing sports,” said PBR CEO Sean Gleason, in the press release. “PBR fans in the Northeast have been asking for a fall event, and we’re thrilled to return to Long Island and this great building to entertain the passionate fans here like only the PBR can.”

The two-day event at NYCB LIVE, home of The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, will begin at 6:45pm on Saturday, Sept. 23 and 1:45pm on Sunday, Sept. 24.

Tickets for the Buck Off the Island event went on sale in mid-May and start at $20. The PBR Elite Seats will offer premium seats and a VIP experience, including early entry; a catered reception; 60-minute backstage tour by a PBR Host, featuring a PBR 101 presentation and a visit with the sport’s fiercest bulls; and the opportunity for photos and autographs from top PBR stars, according to the press release.

Reigning PBR World Champion, Cooper Davis, will be competing in New York for the second time in his career. Davis will be one of four world champions competing, riding alongside two-time PBR World Champion J.B. Mauney, Silvano Alves, Guilherme Marchi, and Mike Lee.

NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, is located at 1255 Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale. For more information or to purchase tickets call 1-800-745-3000 or visit
