Parents of children with special needs take an unexpected journey that brings forth many emotions – confusion, uncertainty, grief, surprise, compassion, and pride. Come hear Dr. Judy Grossman and a panel of parents discuss the joys and challenges of raising children with special needs. Panelist Eliza Factor, Founder of Extreme Kids and Crew, will have her new book, Strange Beauty, on display.

Dr. Judy Grossman is the Director of Ackerman’s Special Needs Project, Associate Director of the Center for the Developing Child and Family, and adjunct faculty at New York University. She has lectured nationally and internationally about parenting, family resilience, mental health consultation, and early intervention/special education policy and programs.
