Meet APEC’s newest family member Kotey the guinea pig and prepare lunch for you and him. Ham and Swiss sliders with guinea pig crunch salad. You’ll be saying “Mmm, Mmm, Mmm !“ all the way home. For those little ones who just can’t wait to be a young chef. Here’s something just for you. APEC Kidz will have fun learning about an animal, and then help make a delicious snack to compliment what they’ve learned. All materials included. Registration required.

The Alley Pond Environmental Center (APEC), a nonprofit environmental education organization, is dedicated to educating children and adults in the New York metropolitan area, protecting and preserving Alley Pond Park, open spaces and waterbodies, and advocating for sustainable environmental policies and practices.
Alley Pond Park is the home of the Douglaston Estate Windmill, a reminder of their agricultural past.
