Join for this free, outdoor program generously funded by local councilmembers through NYC Parks. A warm thank you to Councilmember Barry Grodenchik for his continued support of this program.
During each program we will go on a walk, do something kind for the forest, and make something creative. We’ll use our senses to learn surprising and wonderful things about nature in our city parks. This is a drop off program. Take-homes like backpacks, notebooks, pens, and all other materials included.
Location: In Alley Pond Park by Springfield Blvd and 76th near the playground and restroom.
Dates: Sundays 6/23, 6/30, 7/14, and 7/21

The Alley Pond Environmental Center (APEC), a nonprofit environmental education organization, is dedicated to educating children and adults in the New York metropolitan area, protecting and preserving Alley Pond Park, open spaces and waterbodies, and advocating for sustainable environmental policies and practices.
Alley Pond Park is the home of the Douglaston Estate Windmill, a reminder of their agricultural past.
