Honor the last day of the annual Great Backyard Bird Count with the Bailey Arboretum. Launched in 1998 by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and National Audubon Society, the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) was the first online citizen-science project to collect data on wild birds and display results in real time. Visit to learn more about it! Tickets need only be purchased for participating children. As always, participants may arrive anytime within the scheduled timeframe. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Restrooms are Bailey Arboretum continue to remain closed at this time.

    Bailey Arboretum is a 42-acre property located on the North Shore of Long Island in Lattingtown, New York, situated on the estate of renowned horticulturist and philanthropist Frank Bailey. Bailey Arboretum is the only accredited arboretum on Long Island and in the New York Metropolitan area.

    Bailey Arboretum is open to the public 7 days a week, year round. Community and educational programs are offered throughout the year. Bailey Arboretum provides visitors well marked trails, gardens and the freedom to stroll the beautiful grounds. There is no admission charge or parking fee.
