Bergen County Zoo

Event description: Beginning bird watchers and nature lovers of all ages are invited to meet at the Zoo entrance for a guided walk either on zoo paths or through Van Saun Park to learn about local ecology including birds, reptiles, mammals, and plants, as well as the conservation issues faced in this area. Walking shoes and binoculars are encouraged. Group meets the second Wednesday of each month through June.

Bergen County Zoological Park is a 15-acre zoological animal park within the beautiful Van Saun Park. This AZA Accredited zoo houses animals from North, South, and Central America including tapir, spider monkeys, bison, elk, and a Colonial Dutch Farmyard featuring rare-breed farm animals. Come for a family fun day and be sure to stop by the Education Center to visit with the reptiles, amphibians, and more!
