Event description: While New Jersey teachers are learning about education in NJ Education Association convention, students can learn about endangered species in their state during this three hour special program. Children ages 8-12 can find out which mammals and birds are at risk and why. This class will take place both inside a classroom and outside in the zoo. Bring lunch.

Bergen County Zoological Park is a 15-acre zoological animal park within the beautiful Van Saun Park. This AZA Accredited zoo houses animals from North, South, and Central America including tapir, spider monkeys, bison, elk, and a Colonial Dutch Farmyard featuring rare-breed farm animals. Come for a family fun day and be sure to stop by the Education Center to visit with the reptiles, amphibians, and more!
