Brooklyn Children's Museum
Join Brooklyn Children’s Museum and celebrate Dia de los Muertos through performance, storytelling, art and hands-on activities. In the Lobby gallery take a moment to view an ofrenda (collection of objects placed on an altar during Mexican Dia de los Muertos celebrations) made by artist Mayra Palafox. Activities include Papel Picado art-making, performances by the Calpulli Mexican Dance Company, a make your own pan de muerto workshop (the specialty bread of Dia de los Muertos), and a chance to learn about animals found in Mexico - featuring a horned lizard - which kids can touch!
Address: 145 Brooklyn Ave. Crown Heights, NY 11215
The mission of Brooklyn Children’s Museum is to engage children in educational and entertaining experiences through innovation and excellence in exhibitions, programs, and use of its collection.
