School-aged children can learn how to feed that food that feeds us in Garden Adventures: Compost Edition. Hear stories, sing songs and learn how to make “food” for plants. You will need an empty clean two-liter soda bottle; shredded newspapers, coffee grounds or egg shells; dirt from outside; vegetable scraps; a handful of dead leaves; a spray bottle or other container for water; a small flat dish; scissors; and a nail. Adults can help with punching and cutting holes in the bottle. The event will take place on the Library’s Family Facebook page.
