High school students who aspire to pursue careers as brain surgeons or neuroscience researchers will have an exciting opportunity to compete in the 9th annual Brain Bee, hosted by Burke Rehabilitation Hospital. With a mission to "build better brains to fight brain disorders," Brain Bee culminates in an international world championship, to take place this year in Washington, D.C. More than 25,000 students from 50+ countries compete each year in the competition. At Burke's Brain Bee event, local students in grades 9-12 will be quizzed by a panel of the hospital's clinicians and therapists on topics that include neuroanatomy, neuroscience, diagnoses and brain cell identification. Competitors must be high school students (grades 9-12) in Westchester County. For additional information or to register, please call Janet Goodman, LMSW or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
