As one of America’s greatest works of art and the nation's first public park, Central Park has become the most famous and beloved urban park in the world. The park is open daily from 6am-1am, with FREE entry for everyone since 1858.
Central Park is the 843-acre masterpiece of landscape architecture designed in the 19th century by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux and designated New York City's first scenic landmark in 1974.
Covering 843 acres in the heart of Manhattan, there's no one way to get to Central Park. The Park covers the land from 59th Street to 110th Street between Fifth Avenue and Central Park West (Eighth Avenue).
