Illustrator Thaddeus Coates leads a character design workshop and a presentation that will encourage and uplift. With a focus on black cartoon characters, participants will learn about their contribution to their shows as well why representation matters.

Since opening in a neighborhood storefront in 1973, CMOM has grown into a 38,000-square-foot learning facility with outreach programs at nearly 50 sites throughout New York City.
