Yarn bombing is a technique that brings color and life to neighborhoods like El Barrio. It involves crocheting around a tree trunk or around fence links in order to create a colorful, cozy artwork. Textile artist Ifeoma Anyaeji also uses yarm bombing in her work to transform everyday objects. Can you tell what everyday object is hidden beneath all the yarn? This weekend in the gallery we will transform the white columns into colorful displays. Using yarn and fabric strips, add your own design by wrapping or crocheting.
