Now in its seventh year, Citi Pond at Bryant Park, New York City's only free-admission ice skating rink, invites New Yorkers to get in the holiday spirit as it hosts its Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Guests of all ages can enjoy special musical performances by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan, live Broadway musical entertainment, Olympic ice skating routines, and synchronized skating performances. The hour-long ceremony, beginning at 7pm, will lead up to the lighting of the 50-foot tree filled with more than 3,000 ornaments and thousands of LED lights. The tree will remain lit through the end of 2011.
Post ceremony, guests are invited to ice skate until the rinks close at midnight, enjoy comfort food and winter-inspired cocktails at Celsius restaurant, or start their holiday shopping at The Holiday Shops.
