Orchids at Clarkstown Continuing Education at Congers Elementary School

Event description: The Master Gardener Volunteers of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland County present: Orchids were once thought to be rare, intimidating plants which were available only to the rich. Today orchids are less formidable houseplants that are available to all. This presentation will discuss how orchids grow and how the average homeowner can care for them. It will examine various types of orchids as well as recommend the best species for a beginner. At the end of the presentation everyone will know the answer to the most asked question. "How do I get my orchid to rebloom?"  This program will be presented by Master Gardener Volunteer Celia Juris, through Clarkstown Continuing Education.

Please call 845-639-5628 for more information and to register. You must register in advance and there is a fee for this program.
