After a fun visit at the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery & Aquarium, you’ve accidentally been locked inside the main building! You have one hour to escape before a winter storm hits, stranding you here all night. Can you make it out? Limited spaces available. Strongly recommended for ages 13+. The puzzles may be difficult for younger children. Recommended supplies: pen, paper, calculator. This is a virtual event hosted through Zoom. You will receive your Zoom meeting information by email shortly after registering. Be sure to check your spam folder if you do not see it.

Non profit Freshwater Environmental Center, Trout Fish Hatchery since 1883; Two Aquarium Buildings housing New York's largest collection of freshwater fish, reptiles and amphibians
The Hatchery is more than 125 years old. It's a great place for family outings. You can fish for trout here, buy fish food and feed the fish in the outdoor ponds. You can also visit the two aquarium buildings that house New York State's largest collection of fish, reptiles and amphibians. Although food is not served here there are plenty of picnic tables. The Hatchery is a non-profit environmental center dedicated to the preservation of our fresh water resources. General tours can be scheduled and School groups come here to study our wildlife. It is centrally located on Long Island and easy to get to with the Long Island Expressway. There are plenty of special events scheduled throughout the year and membership entitles free entry to many of them.
