Daily Dose of Dumbo: Paper Making Workshop with Diue Donne Papermill

Brooklyn Public Library, Adams Street Branch offers activities specifically for kids. Following the kids activities, a DJ will spin in the Archway until 8pm! Come for the kiddos, stay for a picnic dinner + dance party. In this 1.5 hour outdoor workshop for kids and families, participants will learn the basics of papermaking. The workshop will cover how to pull and couche a sheet, how to use stencils and pulp-paint to embed images and patterns into paper, and how to press and dry sheets. Each participant can expect to walk away from the workshop with roughly 5 sheets of 8.5 x 11” handmade cotton paper. Dieu Donné is a leading non-profit cultural institution dedicated to serving established and emerging artists through the collaborative creation of contemporary art using the process of hand papermaking. For more information, you can visit Dieu Donné’s website at dieudonne.org. NOTE: This workshop is limited to 15 participants. Advanced registration is required.
