During the school winter recess there will be lots of extra excitement in the children's library at Emma Clark Library. They're once again participating in the annual "Take Your Child to the Library Day", first started in 2012 and now an international movement to raise awareness and to celebrate families taking their kids to the local library. Children and caregivers are invited to drop in for carnival games, face painting, temporary tattoos, balloon sculpting, crafts and more. Plus, each new library card sign-up on February 20 will be entered in a raffle. Library cards are for any age! Parents can get a card for their young one as soon as they are born and immediately start enjoying the Library's resources, such as the "Time for Baby" and "Baby Start Story Time" classes. There is no registration for this event, and families with kids of all ages (residents or nonresidents) are welcome.
